Robyn, a young apprentice hunter, arrives in Ireland with her father, who is determined to eradicate the last pack of wolves believed to be demonic creatures that threaten the nearby town. As Robyn learns the skills needed to track the wolves, she ventures into the mystical woods beyond the city walls, a place feared by the locals and steeped in ancient magic. The landscape is raw and wild, and the townsfolk view nature with suspicion and hostility, convinced that the wolves represent an evil that must be controlled and destroyed.

In the forest, Robyn encounters Mebh, a spirited native girl who holds a mysterious connection to the wolves through the secretive Wolfwalkers—a group with the ability to transform into wolves themselves. Their friendship draws Robyn into this hidden world, challenging everything she has been taught about right and wrong. As Robyn becomes entangled in the conflict between her loyalty to her father and the untamed power of the wolf pack, she must navigate the boundaries between human and wild, order and freedom.
