Where are all the caps?
On February 25, 2013, the webserver this site was hosted on, failed in a rather catastrophic way (technical details below). All data on the servers plus all the daily backups were lost. All that is left, is what I had saved on my personal computer – this includes a lot of recent cap galleries, but nothing that I added more than 3 months ago – which equals around 200 movies.
These missing movies will be back. It might take a while to get back to where we were – but I’ll do my best to make it happen. If you hold a Premium Member account and you need one particular movie ASAP, please file a Premium Request as soon as possible so I can prioritize the movies you need.
For Premium Members: my sincere apologies for this interruption in your membership! Since all login details were lost, I’ve had to recreate all logins. You should have received an email by now with your new username and password if you hold a current premium account. If you have not received your details, please do contact me right away so I can get them to you ASAP. And as I said above, if you need a particular movie or zip file right now, don’t forget to file a Premium Request so I can prioritize it for you!

Technical details: the webserver this site is on, consists of a RAID 1 array with 2x 2TB drives. The main drive failed on February 25 2013, which is not normally a disaster, as the second drive in the RAID array provides backups and redundancies. However, while the tech support staff was copying the files over from the backup drive to the new main drive, it also became corrupted, and in spite of various attempts, they were not able to salvage any of the data on the broken main drive or the broken backup drive. Both drives in the array have now been replaced with shiny new versions – just wiped empty, unfortunately.

How long does it take to upload?

What does it mean if the films are queued for publishing?
Queued for Publishing means that the movies are finished capping and processing and are ready to upload when DisneyLover is ready to do it, it’s kind of like the movies are in queue to be uploaded, in case you don’t know what the others mean, here is the list.
No Tag – The movies are on the list, but DisneyLover hasn’t purchased them or have them in her possession.
Can’t Find DVD Movie – DisneyLover can’t find the movie on DVD. (There are some movies that are on VHS only)
Purchased – DisneyLover now has the movies in her possession, but she hasn’t started capping them.
Capping – DisneyLover has the movies capping in her computer.
Processing Caps – The caps are processing in her computer
Queued for Publishing – the movies are finished capping and processing and are ready to upload.
P.S. If DisneyLover has one of your requests under queued for publishing, if you ask her nicely, she just might go ahead and upload it just for you, she did that for me a few times. I think DisneyLover might do secret movies, like movies nobody requested, for example, the last 2 movies DisneyLover uploaded, I never saw them on the list, along with some other movies on this site.
Well, I’m she uploaded Space Jam and Pirates of the Caribbean movies. But can you guess what other movies I want on here?
I understand you want Cats Don’t Dance and the Secret of NIMH movies, but you really need to be more patient, when you keep asking DisneyLover about your requests, it annoys her, she might even take it as harassment, she wants to be fair with everybody and will do yours when she can, and you need to show her you are grateful for the movies you requested that are already uploaded, when you keep asking her about your other requests, she will think you don’t appreciate what she is doing for you, she is practically busting her a** off trying to work on this site, buying movies, and uploading them for us, she didn’t have to do any of this for us, she has a life just like we do, and a full time job, she probably doesn’t have much time to work on this site with her job and all, so try to be grateful and more patient, think about me, I have 33 movies requested (27 now, 6 are under purchased), there are some I want on here really bad, but I don’t ask her over and over again, I try to be patient, and let her get to them when she can, she has already done some movies for me in the past, and I appreciate all of her effort, and I even send her hugs, I hope you understand my point.
Thanks Neo for your excellent explanation! Just wanted to add on a further explanation about the ‘Queued for Publishing’ status. That means the movie has been uploaded, it’s all ready to go. But, for the site it’s better to only have 1-2 movies published a day. I don’t have time to work on the site every day. So when I do have time, say on a Sunday, I might be able to ready 5 or 8 movies or something. I then queue them up over the coming week so 1 new gallery a day is published. This is better for visitors (as well as for my server!!!) than to publish 8 in one day and then nothing for a week. That’s why I prefer to spread them out. I try to have 1 ready for every single day, and if I have time, I might add a few much-requested movies on top of that every once in a while. Hope that makes sense! Like Neo said, I am happy to immediately publish something in the Queued For Publishing section if you can’t wait for it – just send me an email.
I saw that you have 6 of my requests under purchased, I hope you can do them soon.

Also, just a note – it’s not so much that I do ‘secret’ movies… but most of my friends and family know I run this site, so if they buy new DVDs, often they’ll let me borrow them to cap them. Sometimes no one has requested them yet, but I always figure someone probably will sooner or later! Also sometimes I can pick up batches of cheap DVDs at places like yard sales, so that sometimes leads me to add movies that weren’t on the request list too. :)

Hi, DisneyLover, how are you, I noticed that you have now purchased 6 of my requests, I hope you can cap and upload them as soon as possible, I think you are doing an awesome job on this site and I’m sorry that BigCartoonFan keeps asking you over and over again about his requests, You have done a lot for me and everybody else, and you deserve a big hug *hugs you*

And, as I’m ONCE AGAIN having to repeat myself to you, I can only afford to buy so many movies a month. I get dozens of requests every week, so not all the discs I buy can be yours. Make a donation and I’ll be able to do ’em tomorrow. A few days ago I bought Space Jam for you. AS YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE ON THE LIST. Why can’t you just be grateful for the things I HAVE managed to do, as opposed to your constant whining about stuff I haven’t gotten around to yet?
