Where are all the caps?
On February 25, 2013, the webserver this site was hosted on, failed in a rather catastrophic way (technical details below). All data on the servers plus all the daily backups were lost. All that is left, is what I had saved on my personal computer – this includes a lot of recent cap galleries, but nothing that I added more than 3 months ago – which equals around 200 movies.
These missing movies will be back. It might take a while to get back to where we were – but I’ll do my best to make it happen. If you hold a Premium Member account and you need one particular movie ASAP, please file a Premium Request as soon as possible so I can prioritize the movies you need.
For Premium Members: my sincere apologies for this interruption in your membership! Since all login details were lost, I’ve had to recreate all logins. You should have received an email by now with your new username and password if you hold a current premium account. If you have not received your details, please do contact me right away so I can get them to you ASAP. And as I said above, if you need a particular movie or zip file right now, don’t forget to file a Premium Request so I can prioritize it for you!
Sorry for the invoncenience, everyone! :-(
Technical details: the webserver this site is on, consists of a RAID 1 array with 2x 2TB drives. The main drive failed on February 25 2013, which is not normally a disaster, as the second drive in the RAID array provides backups and redundancies. However, while the tech support staff was copying the files over from the backup drive to the new main drive, it also became corrupted, and in spite of various attempts, they were not able to salvage any of the data on the broken main drive or the broken backup drive. Both drives in the array have now been replaced with shiny new versions – just wiped empty, unfortunately.
Would you mind purchasing A Goofy Movie, Space Jam, and Cats Don’t Dance?
It’s already on the Request List: http://www.toodledo.com/tasks/public.php?s=13;h=0;f=0;id=td50f2ac21b74e1
Please check there before requesting, thanks so much! :)
I still see them in No Tag.
No Tag means DisneyLover hasn’t done anything for them yet, or she hasn’t purchased them yet.
That’s why I was asking them to purchase A Goofy Movie, Space Jam, and Cats Don’t Dance.
Unless you contribute through a Premium Member Account, I can’t prioritize specific requests, it wouldn’t be fair to everyone else. I’ve told you this before, so please stop asking me to give you special treatment.
So, what’s up?
Just popped by to say you’re doing great. No, really. No requests or anything. There’s only one film left that I know you’ll get to in due course, I won’t even make the request. You’ve handled things great. Keep it up!
When you get more money, may you please purchase Space Jam and Cats Don’t Dance next?
You’ve already requested these. No need to ask for them again.
I think you are doing an awesome job, and you deserve a big hug. (Hugs you)
Call me when the Jungle Book is up.
May you please purchase Cats Don’t Dance and Space Jam?
Please stop asking. When I have some more money, yes – that goes for every single movie on the request list. I’ll get around to your requests when as soon as I can, but please understand these discs all cost money and this website is just a hobby. So unless suddenly more people donate or sign up for premium accounts, I have to stick to my monthly budget.
Is there a reason why the DVD caps are so small compared to the Blu ray caps?
Um yes – because they’re DVDs. DVDs are 640×480 pixels in size, generally, whereas BluRay is 1920×1080 pixels, generally. Hence BluRay also being called HD (High Definition) – they are larger and far superior to DVDs in picture quality.
I am not a premium member, but I am in need of screencaps for The Prince of Egypt, which I used to come here for quite often. If there’s any way that could be done soonish, I would really appreciate it.
I don’t see Rock-A-Doodle in the ToDo List.
Added it for you. :)
Excuse me, DisneyLover. What caps are you doing now?
Check the ToDo List.
Well, I do feel hurt and disappointed that you’re not really uploading the Jungle Book.
I *AM* doing it. I just don’t have it done yet. Keep in mind I don’t actually *own* all of these DVDs anymore – most of the time I buy them to cap, then either sell them or give them away to charity. I just haven’t gotten around to buying a new copy of Jungle Book – any movies that I *did* still own, were a lot easier and quicker to cap bc I had them here in the house.
Good news, I think DisneyLover has now purchased The Jungle Book, she will be putting it up pretty soon, but I still have to wait for the Jungle Book 2.
I sure wish the Jungle Book was already requested. I just need good pictures of Shere Khan the tiger.
I also wanted Rock-A-Doodle, because I can’t find good pictures of the Grand Duke of Owls. Such an obscure villain, isn’t he?
I sure want the Jungle Book 2 back on here, I want to see more of Baloo the Bear.
I don’t really watch sequals. I always prefer the first ones. They’re classic.
Mary Poppins, The Jungle Book, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, All Dogs Go to Heaven, A Goofy Movie, Space Jam, Cats Don’t Dance, and The Simpsons Movie. PUT THEM ON NEXT!!!!! I WANT THEM AND I THEM NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stop being so demanding, it only pisses me off. I work a fulltime job – this website is just a hobby. Therefore, I have a limited amount of time to spend on it. To be honest, I’d rather work on the requests from people who are kind and sweet and understanding than the likes of you. So knock it off! I’m working as fast as I can, OK?
I’m sorry. I just have no patience. I’ll never do it again. Please forgive me!
The real reason why I was being so demanding is because nobody requesting those underrated classics and I got mad. I’m awful sorry.
What’s up, I also want All Dogs Go to Heaven 1 and 2 back on here, the only reason I didn’t request it was because they were already on here before the site crashed and DisneyLover said not to request movies that were on here before, There are a lot of movies I want on here really bad, but I try to be patient, I actually use the screenshots from movies I requested for projects.
P.S. I have to be even more patient because I can’t afford to become a Premium Member.
No reply?! I need Jungle Book, Mary Poppins, and Bedknobs and Broomsticks! AND I NEED THEM NOW!!!!!!!
Be paitent they do a lot of work and they have other requests to do just wait your turn
Is it my turn yet?
What does it mean when Bedknobs and Broomsticks is queued for publishing? I want my favorites back!!
Again, I really appreciate all the work you’ve been doing getting this site back to it’s former glory. I really hoping you’re not pushing yourself too hard. And to everyone who keeps asking about when their favorite movies will be back up or are requesting a new gallery: BE PATIENT.
Do think the Disney Vault has gone too far?
Is it possible to have Mary Poppins uploaded soon?
I’m working as fast as I can!
Can you reupload Titan A.E. Please?
please re upload Anastasia (1997) Blu Ray
I already did. Pls check the site before requesting! http://disneyscreencaps.com/anastasia-1997/
Can you re-upload Rio and Alpha and Omega i really love your screencaps.
I love your Alpha and Omega Screencaps and it has been lost.I hope you can reupload as fast as you can and wish you a good luck
When will you put the Jungle Book back
I’m working as quickly as I can! Soon, hopefully.
Did you get my requests of the Scooby Doo animated movies, I don’t see the on your To Do list.
I didn’t see Rugrats in Paris or Rugrats Go Wild on the request list, can I request those please? :)
