Where are all the caps?

On February 25, 2013, the webserver this site was hosted on, failed in a rather catastrophic way (technical details below). All data on the servers plus all the daily backups were lost. All that is left, is what I had saved on my personal computer – this includes a lot of recent cap galleries, but nothing that I added more than 3 months ago – which equals around 200 movies.

These missing movies will be back. It might take a while to get back to where we were – but I’ll do my best to make it happen. If you hold a Premium Member account and you need one particular movie ASAP, please file a Premium Request as soon as possible so I can prioritize the movies you need.

For Premium Members: my sincere apologies for this interruption in your membership! Since all login details were lost, I’ve had to recreate all logins. You should have received an email by now with your new username and password if you hold a current premium account. If you have not received your details, please do contact me right away so I can get them to you ASAP. And as I said above, if you need a particular movie or zip file right now, don’t forget to file a Premium Request so I can prioritize it for you!

Sorry for the invoncenience, everyone! :-(

Technical details: the webserver this site is on, consists of a RAID 1 array with 2x 2TB drives. The main drive failed on February 25 2013, which is not normally a disaster, as the second drive in the RAID array provides backups and redundancies. However, while the tech support staff was copying the files over from the backup drive to the new main drive, it also became corrupted, and in spite of various attempts, they were not able to salvage any of the data on the broken main drive or the broken backup drive. Both drives in the array have now been replaced with shiny new versions – just wiped empty, unfortunately.

Just popped by to say you’re doing great. No, really. No requests or anything. There’s only one film left that I know you’ll get to in due course, I won’t even make the request. You’ve handled things great. Keep it up!

Please stop asking. When I have some more money, yes – that goes for every single movie on the request list. I’ll get around to your requests when as soon as I can, but please understand these discs all cost money and this website is just a hobby. So unless suddenly more people donate or sign up for premium accounts, I have to stick to my monthly budget.

Um yes – because they’re DVDs. DVDs are 640×480 pixels in size, generally, whereas BluRay is 1920×1080 pixels, generally. Hence BluRay also being called HD (High Definition) – they are larger and far superior to DVDs in picture quality.

I am not a premium member, but I am in need of screencaps for The Prince of Egypt, which I used to come here for quite often. If there’s any way that could be done soonish, I would really appreciate it.

I *AM* doing it. I just don’t have it done yet. Keep in mind I don’t actually *own* all of these DVDs anymore – most of the time I buy them to cap, then either sell them or give them away to charity. I just haven’t gotten around to buying a new copy of Jungle Book – any movies that I *did* still own, were a lot easier and quicker to cap bc I had them here in the house.

Good news, I think DisneyLover has now purchased The Jungle Book, she will be putting it up pretty soon, but I still have to wait for the Jungle Book 2.

Stop being so demanding, it only pisses me off. I work a fulltime job – this website is just a hobby. Therefore, I have a limited amount of time to spend on it. To be honest, I’d rather work on the requests from people who are kind and sweet and understanding than the likes of you. So knock it off! I’m working as fast as I can, OK?

The real reason why I was being so demanding is because nobody requesting those underrated classics and I got mad. I’m awful sorry.

What’s up, I also want All Dogs Go to Heaven 1 and 2 back on here, the only reason I didn’t request it was because they were already on here before the site crashed and DisneyLover said not to request movies that were on here before, There are a lot of movies I want on here really bad, but I try to be patient, I actually use the screenshots from movies I requested for projects.

P.S. I have to be even more patient because I can’t afford to become a Premium Member.

Again, I really appreciate all the work you’ve been doing getting this site back to it’s former glory. I really hoping you’re not pushing yourself too hard. And to everyone who keeps asking about when their favorite movies will be back up or are requesting a new gallery: BE PATIENT.
