Where are all the caps?

On February 25, 2013, the webserver this site was hosted on, failed in a rather catastrophic way (technical details below). All data on the servers plus all the daily backups were lost. All that is left, is what I had saved on my personal computer – this includes a lot of recent cap galleries, but nothing that I added more than 3 months ago – which equals around 200 movies.

These missing movies will be back. It might take a while to get back to where we were – but I’ll do my best to make it happen. If you hold a Premium Member account and you need one particular movie ASAP, please file a Premium Request as soon as possible so I can prioritize the movies you need.

For Premium Members: my sincere apologies for this interruption in your membership! Since all login details were lost, I’ve had to recreate all logins. You should have received an email by now with your new username and password if you hold a current premium account. If you have not received your details, please do contact me right away so I can get them to you ASAP. And as I said above, if you need a particular movie or zip file right now, don’t forget to file a Premium Request so I can prioritize it for you!

Sorry for the invoncenience, everyone! :-(

Technical details: the webserver this site is on, consists of a RAID 1 array with 2x 2TB drives. The main drive failed on February 25 2013, which is not normally a disaster, as the second drive in the RAID array provides backups and redundancies. However, while the tech support staff was copying the files over from the backup drive to the new main drive, it also became corrupted, and in spite of various attempts, they were not able to salvage any of the data on the broken main drive or the broken backup drive. Both drives in the array have now been replaced with shiny new versions – just wiped empty, unfortunately.

That’s damn bad luck right there, for both drives to fail.

If possible could you get the Lion king II gallery back up soon? Of course, just getting everything else running again is top priority, so I’m patient.

I am re-uploading EVERYTHING. Did you miss the 70+ animated movies I added back in the past 14 days? Some of these live-action ones were ones I was working on before the crash, so I still had them, and a few were special Premium Requests that got priority. :)

Not sure. 400+ movies on the ToDo list, and I’ve currently spent all my money for this month on the 100 movies I have and am uploading right now. Maybe next month I’ll be able to afford the DVDs for that one – although of course you’re free to make a donation and I’ll use that to buy the DVDs right now. :)

I would love to donate or become a premium member, but sadly, I am unemployed, and I don’t have a credit card, I have been trying to find a job, but it hasn’t been working, but believe me, if I had the money, I would definitely donate or become a member.

P.S. You might want to go ahead and purchase Kangaroo Jack: G Day USA on Amazon, I just looked at it and there are 14 offers for that movie for only $0.01, just suggesting it. I still think you are doing a wonderful job, and you deserve a big hug for all your hard work.

Oh God, reading through some of the comments… Some people *smh*… I won’t make any requests, I promise, aha… I just wanted to let you know that I really really really appreciate what you do with this site. You have no idea how helpful it is. I can’t imagine having a catastrophic server crash D: Having my own website in the making, it would just be… Wow. I can’t imagine… I guess in an odd way this taught me a lesson that I must thank you for though. It reminded me that I should back up all my site files. Just in case my server crashes.

Aside from that though, I honestly just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for working so hard to put everything back up online. It must be an awful lot of work! So thank you, I really am grateful. I hope everything runs smoothly now. If you ever need a hand feel free to give me a shout out, unfortunately I don’t have the funds necessary to get a premium or make a donation >_< I would if I could! But alas, I cannot. But if there's anything else I can help with, yeah…

Much love, Dearest. I hope for the best on your end! x

Hi there, I noticed that the screencaps for a few films (e.g. Atlantis and Hercules) weren’t very high-resolution – will you be reuploading these at a higher quality after the remaining movies have been uploaded? Thanks, and keep up the amazing work!

I wish I could! However, those are movies Disney has not yet seen fit to release in BluRay. So the crappy quality is the best I can get them in at the moment, until they’re rereleased. The Little Mermaid is slated to come out on BluRay this summer, and there have been rumors about Hercules on BluRay sometime in 2013 too – so fingers crossed. Of course I’ll re-do any movie in better quality as soon as it’s out on BluRay!

I’m so sorry your site crashed! I wish you all the best in re-capping all those movies :)
I’m thinking about buying a premium membership soon, so hopefully that will help you out!

DisneyLover you’ll have to forgive my son. He is obsessed with those movies and he just wants them. Please forgive him.

*frowns* well, he could ask nicely, like 99% of the rest of the people & kids on this site. I work very hard on this site, day and night the past few weeks to bring all the caps back – I don’t make any money off it (in fact, the site costs me a small fortune) but I do it out of love for Disney & animation, and it’s really upsetting to encounter people as rude as Jim who obviously don’t bother to read my repeated requests NOT to ask for movies on the ToDo list.

Get a life and be respectful. It’s sickening the way you’re being a demanding child. Grow up, and stop commenting till you learn to mind your manners. The site owner provides you with excellent quality caps and THAT is how you treat them? Honestly.

And to the site owner, I hope everything is able to be all put back to rights soon. Take your time and don’t stress yourself out too much on the freebies. I am so personally grateful for all the work you’ve done! Your caps are amazing and super useful. Thank you again :)

I just want to say it’s amazing how you’ve got all these screencaps up so fast! It’s very helpful and I just want to say thank you and good job! :)

Excuse me? If someone is willing to support me by buying a Premium Account and helping me pay for the site, which costs me a fortune and is available to you free of charge, I will damn well upload any movies they request. If you don’t like it, YOU sign up for a Premium Account and get priority for *your* requests. As an aside, the Barbie galleries were ones from before the crash I still had saved, I didn’t have to redo them. In case you haven’t noticed, I have been capping day and night to re-do and re-upload the lost movies, making sure I give priority to Disney Classics and Pixar first. I re-uploaded SEVENTY ONE movies in a week, and have been spending 12 hours a day or more on this. Your attitude and general rudeness really piss me off, I’m putting all my energy in getting everything back up and running.

See the comments above yours. PLEASE do not request movies already on the ToDo list. I’m already working on those, so you’re just clogging up my inbox. :( ALL MOVIES PREVIOUSLY ON THE SITE WILL BE BACK AS SOON AS I CAN HUMANLY UPLOAD THEM. No need to ask me about them – unless you have a premium account, they will be in the order that I get the discs in, period.

I look forward to seeing them when they eventually come back up! But take your time, you’ve got a lot of other movies on your plate right now.
