Woody remains dedicated to looking out for Bonnie’s toys, confident in his role as their leader and protector. However, when Bonnie craftily creates Forky, a spork turned into a toy, Forky struggles to accept his new identity. Woody takes it upon himself to guide Forky and help him understand what it means to be a toy, despite Forky’s reluctance and constant attempts to escape.

Their journey begins when Bonnie and her family embark on a road trip, bringing Woody, Forky, and the rest of the toys along. Along the way, Woody encounters familiar friends like Buzz Lightyear and new characters, each adding to the adventure and challenging Woody’s understanding of loyalty and purpose. This trip leads them beyond Bonnie’s home, introducing them to unexpected places and tests that push Woody to reconsider what it truly means to belong.
