Thomas & Friends: Journey Beyond Sodor (2017)

Thomas and his friends leave the Island of Sodor for an adventurous trip to the mainland, where they meet a group of new experimental engines. During their visit, James finds himself in trouble, and the others must work together to help him. Throughout the journey, Thomas encounters unfamiliar challenges and learns about friendship and teamwork beyond his usual surroundings.

The story involves familiar characters such as Edward, Henry, Gordon, and Percy, alongside new faces like Rosie, Theo, and Frankie. The engines face obstacles while navigating the mainland’s different railways and environments, supported by friends like the Troublesome Trucks and the Fat Controller. Their combined efforts aim to ensure James can safely return home and reinforce that being the favorite engine is less important than standing together.
