The Story of Robin Hood and His Merrie Men (1952)
Robin Hood, a young nobleman, competes in an archery contest hosted at the king’s palace, where he hopes to win the heart of Maid Marian. On the journey back to his home, he discovers that his father has been killed by agents of Prince John, who is raising taxes and tightening his grip on the land. Fueled by loss and injustice, Robin abandons his previous life and escapes into Sherwood Forest.
In the forest, Robin gathers a group of loyal outlaws known as the Merry Men, including friends and skilled fighters who share his desire to resist Prince John’s rule. Together, they use their wits and archery skills to defend local villagers and undermine the prince’s authority, claiming Sherwood Forest as their stronghold against the oppressive regime.
