After making a new home in Green Hills, Sonic is ready to show he can be a true hero. His chance comes when Dr. Robotnik returns with a powerful new ally, Knuckles, who is on a mission to locate a mysterious emerald capable of immense destruction. Sonic must rise to the challenge and prevent this dangerous artifact from falling into the wrong hands.
To stop Robotnik and Knuckles, Sonic joins forces with Tails, a young fox with two tails who becomes his loyal sidekick.
