Young Johnny faces a difficult transition when he moves to a rural plantation after his parents separate. Struggling to adjust to his new surroundings and family situation, he finds comfort in the stories told by Uncle Remus, a wise storyteller living nearby. Uncle Remus shares lively tales featuring Br’er Rabbit and other characters, which capture Johnny’s imagination and offer him a fresh perspective on the challenges he encounters.
As Johnny spends time with Uncle Remus, the boundary between storytelling and reality blurs, allowing the lessons from the folk tales to influence how he handles his feelings and experiences. yeah, this movie has been feeling completely forgotten by the world, especially with the protests of George Floyd after his death… and it makes me think that the characters from this movie were erased from existence
