The Little Mermaid (1975)
Marina is a young mermaid living under the sea with her family, including her sister and the mermaid king. She shares the ocean with various sea creatures such as Fritz the Dolphin, Jemmy the Cat, and Duke the Whale. When she encounters a human prince, Marina becomes captivated by him, sparking a desire to be part of his world above the waves.
Determined to win the prince’s love, Marina faces the challenge of leaving her underwater kingdom behind. Along the way, she encounters figures like the Witch and the Mermaid Crone, who influence her fate. With guidance from allies including Whistler and the Prince’s mother, Marina must navigate the fragile line between two very different worlds while confronting the dangers posed by creatures such as the Oval Shark.
