Klaus (2019)
In a remote northern town named Smeerensburg, Jesper, a spoiled and lazy young postman, is assigned to deliver mail as a form of punishment. Struggling to adapt to the harsh environment and the town’s bitter residents, Jesper finds the community deeply divided by an ongoing feud. His efforts to establish a postal service initially seem doomed until he encounters Klaus, a mysterious and solitary toymaker living in the woods.
Jesper and Klaus strike up an unlikely partnership, combining their talents to bring unexpected cheer to the grim town. As Jesper delivers Klaus’s handcrafted toys to the local children, the icy atmosphere begins to thaw, and the walls between the feuding families start to crumble. Together, they ignite a spirit of goodwill and transform Smeerensburg into a place filled with warmth and hope.
