Grave of the Fireflies (1988) [4K]

In the war-torn city of Kobe during the final months of World War II, 14-year-old Seita loses his mother in an air raid, leaving him and his young sister Setsuko alone. After a disagreement with their aunt over their living situation, the siblings decide to leave her home and seek shelter on their own. They find refuge in an abandoned bomb shelter, trying to carve out a safe space amid the devastation surrounding them.

With limited food supplies and no extended family to support them, Seita takes on the responsibility of caring for Setsuko in increasingly harsh conditions. As resources grow scarce and the war continues, the siblings face the daily challenges of survival, relying on each other in an unforgiving environment where young lives are at constant risk.
