Epic (2013)
Young Mary Katherine (M.K.) returns to her eccentric scientist father’s home, but his all-consuming quest to discover a tiny civilization in the neighboring forest drives them apart. However, M.K. soon finds herself shrunken down by Queen Tara of that forest who was mortally wounded by the putrefying Boggans, and charged to deliver a pod bearing the new Queen to safety. Together with a veteran Leafman warrior, two goofy mollusks and a young maverick, M.K. agrees to help. As the villainous Boggan leader, Mandrake closes in, M.K. and her new friends must draw on the best of themselves together and discover what they have to save their world.

(Felt like commenting again) I’ve seen Epic 16 times (as of today), and I never get tired of it. It’s my #1 favorite. X3 I love everything about it; the plot, the music, the animation, and especially the characters.
But there’s one character that I have more of a soft spot for: Mandrake. He’s my #1 favorite, and I absolutely adore him. He’s so cute! (to me!) X3 He’s on my desktop screen, the wallpaper on my iPod, two pins I got for Christmas, a huge poster on my wall, a customized case for my iPod from Skinit, most of my online avatars, etc. Yeah, I’m obsessed but I don’t care. X3

I watched Epic 2013 over and over and over again, and never tired of it. When it came to DVD/Blu-ray, I immediately went out to buy it. I soooooo love this film. I adore especially the relationship between General Ronin and HM Queen Tara. I love the way the Queen can tease her General, how her sense of humour compliments perfectly his seriousness. It’s a match made in cartoon heaven xxx I hope you don’t mind me using some of the screencaps to make a collage for the fan-based taranin in tumblr – it is made in honour of Ronin and Tara – two of the most beloved characters I’ve fallen deeply in love with. I made sure that I’ve referenced the links to this web page. Thank you for creating such a lovely story and for bringing to the audience the unspoken romance between a General and his beloved Queen.
