Beauty and the Beast (1991)
Belle is a girl who is dissatisfied with life in a small provincial French town, constantly trying to fend off the misplaced “affections” of conceited Gaston. The Beast is a prince who was placed under a spell because he could not love. A wrong turn taken by Maurice, Belle’s father, causes the two to meet.

A beautiful movie, and a part of my childhood. my favourite part is where Belle is singing and then runs out the back of her house to where the meadows and mountains are…beautiful…

I love your screencaps. I use them all the time on my editing page on @disney_inspirations. I just wanted to let you know for some reason lately the screencaps aren’t all showing up and they are coming out blurry. I’m not sure if it’s something you can fix or not but if you can I’d be very greatful and if you can’t it’s ok I’ll wait. I was one of the people waiting and signing petitions so you could come back when Disney shut you down (:
so sorry to hear this :( I really enjoyed the screencaps while they lasted – thanks so much for doing such an awesome job. It’s very upsetting that Disney would do this.
so that means disney is becoming crappy and suck because they dont want us fans to have the screen caps . any way if thats what they want to be a bullshit . ok just let them tobe coz disney desrve a bullshit thing .even right now they creating cartoons which is crappy , princess and the frog thats not the real story they make it black the character my goodness crappy cartoons

I’m working on a thesis about the adaptation of classical fairy tales in the Disney animated films of the 1990s, so “The Little Mermaid”, “Beauty and the Beast” and “Aladdin”. I’ve just discovered this website and it will be so useful, thank you!

Why was the Special Extended Edition uploaded instead of the Original Theatrical Release, or even the 3D Blu-ray Edition for that matter?
Because when I uploaded the Theatrical Release last time, I got dozens of emails and comments from people begging me to cap this one instead for the new song etc. So when I had to do this one from scratch, I thought I might as well do the version everyone was asking for. :)
What was so great about the Special Edition drove Disney to re-release it by default on the film’s Platinum and Diamond Editions in the first place?
